The Pit Becomes Free to Enter in Diablo 4 Starting Season 11

Season 11 will bring a huge quality-of-life upgrade for The Pit. If you ever felt slowed down by Runeshard costs or late unlock requirements, this update is going to feel great once the season launches.

Free Entry and Earlier Access

Until now, entering The Pit always required Runeshards, and most players did not touch it until the mid-60s or later. Season 11 will change both of these points.

What is changing once the season goes live:

  • No materials needed to open The Pit
  • You can enter before level 60
  • Your starting tier begins at Tier 10

This means you can farm materials, level up, and start pushing your build earlier without worrying about your Runeshards count. It also turns The Pit into a much more comfortable bridge between leveling and full endgame progression.

A Much Smoother Early Endgame

The Pit is directly tied to Season Rank progress, glyph leveling, and late-game upgrades. Removing the entry cost turns it into a mode you can run whenever you want, instead of worrying about having to farm shards (keys) or something you ration out.

More Pit runs, more loot, more chances to improve your build without resource bottlenecks.
