During the Diablo 4 Season 14 storyline, players encounter one of Malthael’s most-trusted servants, Seraziel. Upon her death, she says “He is coming…” — and players are already coming up with wild theories, convinced Blizzard is saving its ammo for the upcoming BlizzCon.
Is He Coming?
Season of Death Awakening gave players plenty to do — a Mythic Unique overhaul, permanent Solo Self-Found, and new Leaderboards, but it’s been conspicuously tight-lipped about where its story is actually heading.
The S14 story takes us to Pandaemonium and players encounter Seraziel, one of Malthael’s servants who had the following to say upon death:
The whole story ends with a mysterious stranger whose voice seems very familiar to the Wanderer.
When you ask the stranger about their identity they say they are a nobody.
If you talk to Dannica after that, there’s a dialogue option that says “There was something familiar about that old man.” The Wanderer recognizing the voice feels like a deliberate clue.
While the D4 seasonal stories are self-contained, the Season 14 ending truly feels like a set up. Let’s hope we’ll get more details at this year’s BlizzCon!
