Genshin Impact Sandrone

Genshin Impact Version 6 7, also known as Luna VIII, is going live tonight, and it is one of the most important updates we have seen in a long time. Not only is Sandrone finally playable, but this patch is also the last one before Snezhnaya, and the new Moon region is also becoming permanently explorable. On top of that, we get the usual cool summer event with a ton of rewards and a few pretty nice quality-of-life improvements! Travelers definitely have plenty to look forward to this time!

Version Luna VIII

Sandrone Is Here!

Everyone thought HoYoverse did a Capitano with her, but she is finally here, and she is amazing! Version 6 7 is letting us finally play as Sandrone. As one of the Fatui Harbinger, a lot of players were waiting for her. If you want to know more about how to build Sandrone and the teams she can fit in, feel free to check out our guide:

On top of that, we also get Citlali’s rerun banner, and Phase 2 will feature 2 other reruns: Columbina and Raiden Shogun.

Phase 1 Banners (July 1 – July 21)

Phase 2 Banners (July 21 – August 11)

A special Lightrace Wish banner is also available with Yae Miko, Cyno, Wriothesley, Qiqi, and Mizuki alongside their signature weapons.

Travelers Can Finally Explore The Moon

Of course, characters are not all, and we also get a new zone! In Version 6 7 you will head out to the Moon. The Traveler can now get back on his spaceship and travel beyond Teyvat to explore an entirely new area filled with Archaeolune Energy, mysterious ruins, strange lifeforms, and hidden secrets.

Some of the main locations include:

  • Ancient dragon ruins
  • The Eye of Ibni-Belum
  • Lunar Surface Monitoring Station
  • Ungien’s Circle
  • Space Lifeform Capture Station
  • Lunar Sea
  • A hidden base on the far side of the Moon

The new “Moon Gazing” quest will take you there!

Summer Event Offers a Free Charlotte and New Outfit

Sunny Summer Fontinalia is the new summer event, and it will take players back to Fontaine for a summer adventure involving Sandrone, Citlali, Furina, Charlotte, and Wriothesley. You will have to help manage an aquarium on Wriothesley’s ship and participate in Fontaine’s new film festival.

The event rewards are pretty nice as well:

  • Free Charlotte
  • Charlotte’s new outfit “Hurlock Variations”
  • Primogems
  • Crown of Insight
  • Character materials
  • Furnishings and cosmetics

For many players, Charlotte’s free skin alone will make this event worth completing.

New Skin for Citlali

Charlotte is not the only one getting a new skin! Citlali is obtaining the new premium outfit “Whispers of Stars and Smoke,” available through the in-game shop with the usual launch discount.

More Events Return

On top of the main summer event, Version 6 7 includes several smaller activities:

  • Final Long-Range Sightlines
  • Dance Dance Easy-Breezy Disco
  • Ley Line Overflow

These events reward you with some Primogems and upgrade materials throughout the patch. Nothing huge, but better than nothing.

Quality-of-Life Improvements Arrive

On top of the main content itself, Version 6 7 introduces some much-appreciated quality-of-life updates.

One of the biggest changes is a new dialogue pacing option. Yes, it is still not a skip button, but you can now at least advance many conversations more quickly rather than waiting for animations and transitions to finish before the next line appears.

The map interface has also been upgraded to better display multi-layered areas, making it easier to navigate on the map in regions like Sumeru where you have a ton of different layers.

PC players additionally gain improved controller and keyboard switching support, along with a few new keyboard shortcuts.

New Character Upgrades Through Witch’s Revelation

Version 6 7 also introduces Witch’s Revelation buffs for the following characters:

These characters will basically gain additional talents and buffs if you complete their Witch’s Revelation, and two weapons, Cashflow Supervision and Kagura’s Verity, will also get new effects designed around these upgraded abilities.

Right Before Snezhnaya

Many players are probably already looking ahead to Snezhnaya, and with the reveal of the Tsaritsa, everyone is even more hyped for it right now, but Version 6 7 will most likely serve as a bridge toward that next chapter, so it is still an important patch!

Luna VIII definitely gives Travelers plenty to do before the journey north truly begins.
