Zenless Zone Zero Players Are Already Predicting Who’s Coming in 3.3

Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) Version 3.2 is just on the horizon but that hasn’t stopped the community from looking ahead to what’s coming next. With Claret and Roxy now taking the spotlight, attention is already turning toward Version 3.3 and which Agents could be joining the roster.

Three names are dominating that conversation right now: Phoenix, Severian, and Lindverne. The recent 3.2 Special Program gave players plenty of clues to work with, and Phoenix in particular looks like the safest bet. The real question is who could join her.

Phoenix Has Players Asking One Big Question

Phoenix is widely considered the most likely character to headline version 3.3 after appearing in the recent Special Program with a full 3D model. That alone has sent the community into prediction mode, but the bigger question isn’t whether Phoenix is coming. It’s what exactly is she actually going to do?

One of the most popular theories is that Phoenix could finally give players another Fire Anomaly DPS. Burnice remains the most recent character to fill that particular role, having debuted all the way back in Version 1.2, so the idea of Phoenix stepping into that position has plenty of appeal and traction in the community.

But not everyone is convinced Phoenix will be another damage dealer. Another growing theory suggests she could instead be some kind of Support. One recent community discussion specifically asked whether Phoenix could break from expectations and become a Support rather than an Anomaly DPS, with the idea gaining significant attention from players. Ultimately, her appearance has given many in the ZZZ community plenty to speculate about, but her role remains a complete mystery. Perhaps the 3.2 storyline will shine some much-needed light on her.

Severian or Lindverne for 3.3? The Second Slot Gets Complicated

Lindverne has one very obvious argument in her favor: she just received a new skin in Version 3.2, undeniably showcased during the Version 3.2 livestream. For a character as important as a Sunbringer, that immediately raised eyebrows for many in the community. Major character skins have often been viewed as potential signs that a character is being positioned for greater relevance, and Lindverne’s new look has naturally fueled theories that she could become playable soon.

There is a pretty strong counterargument, though, and it comes from Severian. During Version 3.2, players spotted an in-game Agent portrait for Severian alongside the existing playable roster. That is a significantly more direct signal than a skin. Characters receiving their own portraits in the Agent roster are generally expected to become playable sooner rather than later, and Severian was the only one of the potential candidates to receive this particular treatment.

The tease has made Phoenix and Severian one of the most common predicted pairings in the community, while Lindverne remains the wildcard. Her skin and growing importance to the story certainly keep her in the conversation, but Severian currently has the stronger piece of evidence.

One important thing to note: if Lindverne is not revealed to be playable in 3.3, that doesn’t mean she will not eventually be playable. It simply means she’s possibly slated for another version in the future. There is still a high possibility that she will end up a playable character in some fashion, given her lore relevancy as a Sunbringer.

Even so, Phoenix and Severian look like the community favorites, but Lindverne is hardly out of the running. With multiple clues pointing in different directions, Version 3.3 is already shaping up to be a fascinating one to watch.
