Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) Version 3.2 is looking to be a rather important update. Not only is the story moving into its next chapter, but HoYoverse is also introducing two completely new Agents, a brand-new class, a pile of events, some quality-of-life improvements, and even a set of free cosmetics for players to collect.
There’s a lot going on, so let’s get into everything worth knowing from the recent Version 3.2 Special Program.
Phase 1 Puts Claret and the New Armorer Class Front and Center
Claret is easily the biggest addition coming in Version 3.2, and not because she’s the update’s first new Agent. She’s also the first Armorer, a completely new class built around dealing damage through new Maim and Gash mechanics.

Claret is an Electric Agent who appears to specialize in delivering enormous bursts of damage once she gets her mechanics rolling. Her kit revolves around landing multi-layered critical hits which then deal a new form of damage called Laceration, taking the place of CRIT DMG in her hits. To add, Claret is also the fist Agent to have access to a Counter Assist, which lets her completely stop Control Skills before they even get rolling.
Interestingly, Claret doesn’t rely on Critical Damage in the traditional sense. Instead, her kit uses its own damage calculations (Laceration) to determine how hard her “CRITs” hits, giving her a rather unusual identity compared to the Attackers players are already familiar with.

Her signature W-Engine is confirmed to be Crimson Thirst, and she won’t be arriving alone. Nangong will receive a rerun during the first half of Version 3.2, giving players another opportunity to pick up the returning Agent alongside Claret.
Phase 2 Brings Roxy and a Whole Lot of Tornados
Roxy will headline the second half of Version 3.2, becoming the game’s first Agent in another new class. She’s a Wind Stun Agent who appears to have one very simple philosophy when it comes to combat: more tornados.

Roxy can summon Eyes of the Storm and use them to create even more tornadoes, giving her plenty of ways to disrupt groups of enemies. These tornadoes can pull enemies together, making Roxy particularly interesting for players who enjoy gathering enemies into one convenient pile before unleashing the rest of their team.
Additionally, Roxy’s signature W-Engine is Crimson Moon Casket, while Promeia will return alongside her during Phase 2.
Version 3.2 Continues the Story in “Their Secret Histories”
The next chapter of Roscalifer’s story is also arriving with Version 3.2, continuing the events surrounding Claret, Roxy, Flint Workshop, and the ongoing mystery surrounding the Bangboo manipulation.
Version 3.2 is officially titled “Their Secret Histories,” which feels particularly appropriate given just how many unanswered questions are still floating around the cast. Lady Dracaene’s story also remains an important part of the ongoing narrative following the loss of her Karma Core.
A brand-new trailer shown during the Special Program also teased several interesting developments, including new characters (Phoenix was revealed for the first time in-game), the possibility of Serpico becoming deeply involved, and matching new outfits for the three Angels of Delusion. Those skins are particularly notable because they won’t simply be premium cosmetics.
They’re free… sort of.
Free Angel Skins, New Events, and Plenty More
Version 3.2 is packed with side content, starting with a login event that will hand out 10 Limited pulls and 10 Bangboo pulls, which is usual for any ZZZ update.
Additionally, Surprising Screen Plan is also a new event that will be running for 14 days, with the aforementioned Angels of Delusion outfits available to earn. There is one catch: players can only claim two of the three skins for free in Versions 3.2. As for the third, players will be able to obtain it during the runtime of 3.3.

For players who would rather solve their problems by hitting things, Shadow Chase Showdown will provide a new HIA combat event similar to previous ones, with a Claret/Roxy spin.
Looks like Crowe is back yet again after his debut event in his 3.1 event. Chronicles of the Hobbling Crow will once again send players to uncover yet another set of mysteries occuring in Rosaclifer. Much of the event looked similarly to the previous, but a new set of plots are available for players to experience.
Clink, Clank, Pinball Knight! will introduce a new pinball-style event with its own unique spin gameplay. Players will be playing the traditional classic, while also destroying enemies that appear to warp in, depending on the stage.

For fans fancying a bit of classic Tamagotchi action, the newly announced Diary of an Orbie Parent event is also hitting in version 3.2. Players will have to login daily and feed their little Orbie to ensure it grows up big and strong.
Then there’s Operation Bagel Part 2. The next stage of the extraction game mode added in 3.1 will add new tactical equipment for both Claret and Roxy, along with a new Bangboo-related item called the Break-Even Beacon. This little guy can send items back during a run, and those items won’t be lost even if the player ultimately fails. A nice failsafe for those feeling the pressure.
Operation Bagel Part 2 will also add new Proxy accessories that can be purchased, and expand inventory space once the appropriate upgrade has been acquired using the mode’s currency.
A Few Very Welcome Quality-of-Life Changes
There are some smaller additions that could have a surprisingly large impact on everyday ZZZ.
Koleda is finally receiving a Potential Unlock that gives the entire team a damage buff, while also specifically increasing damage for Armorers and Critical Damage for other Agents. Considering Claret is arriving alongside, this is a rather convenient time for Koleda to get a power-up. Koleda’s buff marks the end of Standard banner Agent buffs, so it remains to be seen who next in the Agent roster receives some attention.

New players are getting an especially nice upgrade, too. The beginner experience will allow them to choose between Jane, Hugo, or Silver Soldier Anby (S-Anby), with the option to obtain one of their signature W-Engines as well, all for free.
Drive Disc management is also getting easier. Players will be able to view recommended Drive Disc setups much more conveniently, while the Agent filtering system is receiving its own improvements.
And, naturally, there is a redemption code. Players can redeem the keyword, FLINTWORKS, for an additional 300 Polychromes.

All things considered, Version 3.2 is looking pretty stacked! With the addition of a brand new class, a major continuation of the Roscalifer storyline, free cosmetics, new events, and some genuinely useful quality-of-life improvements, there is a lot waiting for players when Claret and Roxy finally arrive in Version 3.2.
