Genshin Impact 6.0 / Luna I Tier List & Best Characters Ranked

Our updated Genshin Impact Tier List for Version Luna I is now live! This new Nod-Krai expansion released today featuring the additions of Aino and Lauma, leading to the beginnings of big meta changes that we can expect to see more of through Nod-Krai.

We have updated our tier list to reflect the current state of the game. This includes Spiral Abyss, Imaginarium Theater, Stygian Onslaught and general high-level content. If you are looking for the best Main DPS, Sub-DPS, or Support, our tier list helps you find the strongest characters for your team.

How Our Genshin Impact Tier List Works

• Characters are ranked from S+ (top-tier) to D (least viable).
• Each character is rated based on performance in late-game content, including damage output, ease of use, team synergy, and elemental utility.
• Some characters may appear in multiple roles due to their flexibility.

What’s New in Version Luna I?

Lauma and Aino show a range of value with Lauma specifically bringing huge changes to Bloom-releated reactions such as Nilou Bloom, Hyperbloom and other Dendro reactions (not so much burgeon). Aino on the other hand is an amazing addition to supports and as a free character allows everyone to participate in Nod-Krai’s mechanics easily.

That’s not all though with Flins dropping in a few weeks time, our Genshin Impact Tier List will see even more changes when banners roll over.

With the addition of Lauma showing what a modern Dendro character can do, multiple other Dendro characters on our Tier List have taken a drop in ranking as is the nature of powercreep.

How Will Nod-Krai Shape the Meta?

While it is too early to tell exactly, based on how Natlan ended up i believe it is a safe bet to expect an even greater push into regional-specific mechanics and characters. The “Lunar” series of mechanics is likely to be expanded on beyond Lunar Bloom and Lunar Electro-Charged to feature a range of different reactions with each character.

While this gives old reactions some much-needed love, locking it behind “Lunar” also creates a greater push for Nod-Krai characters which will likely be seen in our Tier Lists over time as more Nod-Krai characters take “S” Tier and “S+” Tier places. Natlan showed that Nightsoul could be used on specific fights and the early Nod-Krai enemies in Stygian Onslaught have shown bosses that are a little locked to Lunar-based mechanics so expect to see more.

At the same time, while these characters can produce more restrictions and limitations both from Lunar-based reactions and also Moonsign mechanics, this does give the team room to push kits further which can allow for older characters to find new life.

Remember, tier lists are helpful for understanding high-level meta, but you don’t need an S+ character to enjoy Genshin Impact. Every character can clear content with enough investment, so pick the ones you love and have fun!
