As Version Luna I rolls out, early leaks are already giving us a glimpse into the future of Genshin Impact with Version 6.1/Luna II – and if the rumors are true, it’s shaping up to be one of the most stacked patches yet.
Banner information for 6.1, revealed by homDGCat.wiki and later shared on the Genshin Leaks subreddit, shows the release of Nefer, a brand-new 5-star, alongside reruns for Arlecchino, Furina, and Zhongli.
While the official order of banners remains unconfirmed, the community has already started to piece things together. One Redditor speculates that based on the typical timing of Stygian Onslaught, Imaginarium Theater, and Abyss cycles, the banner pairings could likely be Nefer + Furina and Arlecchino + Zhongli. If accurate, this would result in two extremely desirable units being paired with a huge problem.
The downside being that Arlecchino fans would need to risk pulling Zhongli’s terrible signature if they want to go for one of the most aesthetically pleasing polearms for Arlecchino.
Of course, banner order is still speculation and many fans were surprised by the order of Lauma and Flins with Luna I so anything is possible.
Four-Star Characters in Luna II
As of now, the leaked 4-Star characters include:
This leaves three more four-star characters unaccounted for, though the current selection already hints at strong Cryo and Geo synergy. While some players have been speculating on characters that have Synergy with Nefer, anything could happen.
Two Archons, One Patch
What’s particularly notable is that this marks the first time two Archons, Furina and Zhongli, are rerunning in the same patch. Some see this as a practical solution due to the sheer number of Archon and “Archon-adjacent” characters now in the game. Others however speculate it more cynically, suggesting that HoYoverse may be “making room” for future characters to powercreep existing favorites.
With Columbina and Varka often brought up as potential heavy-hitters who could challenge Furina and Zhongli’s dominance with Columbina aiming for Furina’s throne and Varka potentially being reminiscent of Aventurine and Gepard from Honkai: Star Rail who are both shielders.
Only One New Five-Star?
While Genshin Impact often releases only a single new 5-Star on a patch, many players were expecting the release of Jahoda too. Either as a 4-Star or 5-Star, Jahoda’s rarity is still very up in the air right now.
That being said, Luna II seems to focus heavily on Miliastra Wonderland, the new UGC mode and with so much new content to be released it makes sense that HoYoVerse is only releasing a single character in the next update.
With Lunar II looking to include a brand-new 5-star and a lineup of some of the most sought-after reruns, players may find themselves struggling to choose where to spend their Primogems. Whether you’re aiming for Nefer’s debut or chasing powerful supports like Furina and Zhongli, one thing is clear – the 6.1 banners will be a high-stakes affair.
