Lunar Bloom Just Changed Everything: Is Lauma Worth Your Pulls?

Genshin Impact’s Nod-Krai update is almost here, and the new wish banners are already confirmed. Players looking to dive into Lunar-charged reactions should definitely keep an eye on these featured characters.

New 5-Star Characters: Lauma and Flins

Lauma, a brand-new 5-star Dendro Catalyst, is built around Lunar-Bloom, a fresh reaction introduced with the Nod-Krai update. She also supports other Bloom-related reactions, such as Hyperbloom and Burgeon. One of her standout passives turns any Bloom reaction triggered by allies into Lunar-Bloom. Her Elemental Skill even allows those reactions to land CRIT hits. As a result, Lauma shines as a core unit for Bloom teams. She’s definitely worth pulling if you enjoy that archetype.

Meanwhile, Flins debuts as a 5-star Electro Polearm user, specializing in Lunar-Charged reactions. His Elemental Skill infuses his attacks with Electro, unlocking a new form of his Elemental Burst. It deals heavy Lunar-Charged damage and is his main DPS source. He pairs especially well with Ineffa, who debuted just before Nod-Krai, offering players strong synergy if you already have her in your roster.

The weapon banner also brings some strong options. Lauma’s signature Catalyst, the Nightweaver’s Looking Glass, boosts team Energy while enhancing Bloom damage. Flins’ Polearm, Bloodsoaked Ruins, ramps up his personal Lunar-Charged output.

But that’s not it! Both banners also feature Aino, Genshin Impact’s first-ever Hydro Claymore character!

5-Star Reruns in Version 6.0

Two strong 5-stars are also getting reruns in the banner lineups:

  • Nahida – the Dendro Archon of Sumeru and a core unit in Dendro-related reactions
  • Yelan – the ultimate Hydro sub-DPS

With the arrival of Lunar-Charge and Lunar-Bloom reactions, they could both offer strong value depending on your team comp. That said, future Nod-Krai banners might showcase characters even more tailored to the region’s mechanics, so it may be worth holding onto your Primogems if you’re unsure.

Chronicled Wish Banner

Luna I will also bring back the Sumeru Chronicled Wish banner, giving players another shot at some fan-favorite characters from past releases. Their signature weapons will be up for grabs as well, making it a great opportunity if you missed them the first time around.

Nilou remains one of the strongest core picks for Bloom teams, especially when paired with Nahida. With Lauma joining the roster, her value’s about to skyrocket. However, it’s always possible that HoYoverse has more surprises in store that could shake up Bloom team comps down the line.

As the first banner of Genshin’s next big update, both Flins and Lauma are highly anticipated. The real question is: do you spend your Primogems now, or hold out for what’s next?
