Xal’atath Available for Gold Starting October 26

Heroes of the Storm players will soon be able to purchase Xal’atath, the latest Hero to enter the Nexus, using in-game Gold.

Xal’atath was released on September 28. Until now, she could only be purchased with real money for $ 7.99 or € 7.99. Starting tomorrow, players will also be able to buy her for 10,000 Gold.

This is about a month earlier than originally announced. Following community requests for an earlier free-to-play option, Blizzard decided to bring this update forward.

Xal’atath Gold Update

Hey everyone!

Xal’atath has been out for almost a month and we truly appreciate all of the feedback, comments, suggestions, questions, and just plain thoughts on her and the game as a whole. We previously said that she would become available for gold in late November, and a fair number of you have asked for that to be sooner, so starting next Monday (October 26), she will be available for 10,000 gold.

We’re also working on the next PTR, which we are aiming to share details about in the next couple weeks.

Thank you all!

We do not know if she will also be available for Gems. While they are the in-game currency that corresponds to real money, they can also be earned for free.

In addition to that, Blizzard also mentioned they are already working on the next PTR patch, which will likely be available for playtesting in the next couple of weeks.
