Honkai: Star Rail leakers have recently dropped new cool details about the upcoming alternate forms of March 7th and Dan Heng! Content creator Almighty Shotgun made a nice recap of everything we know so far for March 7th SP and Dan Heng SP!

Dan Heng SP (Preservation) – Free 5★ Character?
Dan Heng is getting a new SP form on the Path of Preservation, and yes, he should be the free 5-star character for version 3.6, according to leaker DK2. However, do take this information with a grain of salt, as it is not confirmed at all for now.
Look-wise, Dan Heng gets a really cool Draconic design! His early heavy armor concept is now completely gone. He has refined curled horns and a dragon tail, referring to his Xianzhou roots, and linking him more to his dragon lore again.
Here is what we know about his kit:
- He should have a unique Summon-Based Skill:
- His Skill targets an ally, granting them a powerful dragon summon.
- The dragon seems to act independently, taking actions on the turn order.
- It scales with the ally’s abilities, making him a really good support rather than just a tank.
- This means he is not just a shielder:
- Offers hybrid support through those summon mechanics.
Dan Heng SP basically seems to offer a new Preservation type, with offensive-support skills. This would be much better than just relying on shields, since we already have that with other characters. And if he is indeed given for free, it is a really cool addition for everyone.
March 7th SP (Remembrance) – A New Special Summoner
March 7th on the other side seems to take a really surprising dark turn with her SP version! She will be part of the Path of Remembrance with an entirely new look and gameplay.
- How does her look change:
- Glowing red eyes
- Darker clothes
- She will not have her usual cheerful personality
- Her kit will revolve around a Memosprite:
- She summons Medusa, who sort of looks like a ghost type of Memosprite
- After summoning, March will be switched out, and Medusa will fight from off-field
- March can buff Medusa’s damage, especially in DoT and Remembrance teams.
According to the leaks, March does seem to depend heavily on Cyrene:
- Medusa seems to really do her max damage only when paired with Cyrene
- Without Cyrene, you miss out on:
- True damage scaling
- DEF shred
- Resistance reduction
Early leaks suggested March SP would be free, but leakers have now clarified that only Dan Heng SP may be available to all players for free. And even this information is not 100% sure.
Dan Heng SP definitely seems to be a strong offensive-support character that every player will get. On the other side, March 7th SP seems to be heavily synergy-locked. Some players think she may end up being a bait for those chasing DoT meta.
Both characters are expected to appear in version 3.6.
