If you are not sure what to build yet, or you just do not have a lot of characters and want to know what you can do with them, here are some of the most reliable early teams based on what is currently working best.
Best F2P Starter Team
This is a good starting team if you are playing free-to-play, and can fit any fourth character. Haniel is given for free right now, and Edgar is most likely one of the early characters you will get with your free pulls.
- Zero carries your damage early
- Edgar keeps you alive with consistent healing
- Haniel boosts team damage and helps trigger reactions
It is not something you will play forever, but it is stable, easy to play, and gets the job done until you pull more characters and progress further into the game.
Best AoE Farming Team
Nanally – Zero – Jiuyuan – Haniel
This is one of the most common and strongest early teams right now.
- Built around the Blossom reaction
- Constant damage without needing perfect timing
- Excellent for clearing waves and farming
Nanally does the damage, Zero can trigger Blossom reactions and fills the Esper meter, Jiuyuan groups enemies together, and Haniel buffs the team’s ATK. If you pulled Nanally, this is easily one of the best teams you can run early.
Strong Balanced Team
Chiz – Zero – Jiuyuan – Hathor
A pretty cool team that provides a great mix of AoE and single-target damage, really strong energy generation, and that means more Ultimates, and good control and sustain. If you want a team that can handle most content without constantly swapping, this is a great option.
Simple Beginner-Friendly Team
Not everyone wants complex rotations, and this team is perfect if you are just looking for something simple that works and is not going to make your brain hurt.
If you are still learning the game or just want something straightforward, you will be good to go with this one.
Best Bossing Team
Daffodill – Adler – Fadia – Nanally
This is what we would call the current “dream team” for bosses. You do not necessarily need it right at the start, but once you encounter more difficult bosses, it is worth considering it.
- Stacks multiple reactions at once
- Extremely high single-target damage and break pressure
- Fadia makes the team very hard to kill
It is powerful, but it does require specific characters you need to pull, so this is more of a long-term goal than a day-one team.
Flexible Characters That Fit Anywhere
Some characters work in almost every team without breaking anything or making it harder for you, so if you have any of those, you can easily slot them with your main DPS and make it until you get more characters:
- Adler – shields + damage over time
- Fadia – massive survivability boost
- Edgar – reliable healing
- Sakiri – provides team-wide buffs
Basically, do not overthink it too much either, especially at the start and until you complete the current main story. Right now, the meta is still forming. You will see a lot of “best team” claims, but most of them come down to the same thing. You just need to keep your reaction chain consistent, fill gaps with healing, shields, or buffs, and try to use characters that have at least a little bit of synergy together.
