The NTE Shadow-n-Seek event is one of the many additions in the 1.2 999 Nights update. During this limited-time event, six players will be divided into one hunter and five hiders. The hunter needs to find the hiders to win, while the hiders need to stay hidden until the timer runs out.
This event is very similar to the popular Prop-Hunt game mode, but NTE added a few twists to it to make it feel fresh and exciting.
How to Play as a Hunter in the NTE Shadow-n-Seek Event
To play as a hunter during the Shadow-n-Seek event in NTE, you need to locate all five hiders during a two-minute time limit. Hiders can turn into three random objects in each stage, and catching one will give you a few extra seconds each time.
As a hunter, you will be transformed into Nanally or Jiuyuan. You can use their ranged attack to reveal the hiders’ location, and use the scan skill to help find them.
The skill’s AoE circle will light up red if you’re near a hider or a replica of them, and will stay green if none are nearby. The scan skill only lasts around four to five seconds, and will need around 14.5 seconds to recharge, so use it wisely!
How to Play as a Hider in the NTE Shadow-n-Seek Event
To play as a hider in the Neverness to Everness 1.2 event, you get to choose from one of three different items to transform into, and you will have to find a good spot to blend in. You have 30 seconds to hide before the hunter starts seeking.
However, players can also change their hiding spot while the hunter is active, to confuse them more. You alos have access to a replica skill, which lets you place decoys around the map.
How to Get Paper Cup Phone in NTE
To get Paper Cup Phone currency in NTE, participate in the Shadow-n-Seek event. Hiders will get 1,250 Paper Cup Phone if they win, and the hunter 2,500. To buy all the Shadow-n-Seek shop items, you’ll need to collect around 8,000 Paper Cup Phone tokens.
The first-day cap is 4,000 Paper Cup Phones, so players will have to play the Shadow-n-Seek event on a daily basis to buy all the Shadebound shop rewards.
