Battlefield 6 Season 1 Roadmap Expands After Battle Royale Launch

This week has been a hectic and very exciting week for Battlefield 6 fans. Not only did the new Battle Royale mode teaser drop, then fully launch the next day, but it’s also the start of Season 1. With Battlefield 6 Season 1, the initial roadmap has been updated following the unveiling of the new modes.

Updated Battlefield 6 Season 1 Roadmap

While the initial Season 1 preview did show us quite a lot. Including some of the newer maps, modes, and weapons coming in the following months, such as the new Blackwell Fields map, which was released today. With the launch and reveal of REDSEC, that initial roadmap has been updated with more content for fans to look forward to.

Here are some of the new additions in the updated Battlefield 6 Season 1 Roadmap:

Rogue OPS:

  • Fort Lyndon (New Map)
  • Gauntlet (New Mode)
  • Battle Royale (New Mode)
  • Portal Updates

California Resistance:

  • Rodeo (New Gauntlet Mission)
  • Portal Sandbox
  • Golf Cart (New Vehicle)

Winter Offensive:

  • Additional Portal Updates

Out of all of the additional content, Rogue Ops, which is releasing today, is getting the most bonus content that fans didn’t originally plan for. Sadly, Winter Offensive isn’t getting really anything new, aside from additional Portal updates. Yet, that means that with every patch, Portal will continue to get more and more additional assets and tools for custom modes and maps. This is actually a huge win for the community, as the modding scene of any game drastically increases its longevity, as has been the case for Halo and its Forge mode.

Battlefield 6 Future Looks Bright

Since the launch of Battlefield 6, fans have praised the steady stream of new content. With the arrival of its Battle Royale mode and continued support for Portal, the game’s future looks brighter than ever. Still, concerns linger as EA’s privatization and the ongoing rivalry with Call of Duty fuel inevitable comparisons between REDSEC and Warzone.
