Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Mode Officially Announced

Battlefield 6 just dropped some fresh news out of the blue. Originally, through data mining leaks, fans began speculating that BF6 might get a Battle Royale mode at some point. Apparently, those rumors were true, as it turns out, Battlefield 6 is getting a Battle Royale tomorrow!

Battlefield 6 Battle Royale

EA just dropped a small teaser trailer about a free-to-play Battle Royale mode coming to BF6. Sadly, there isn’t any gameplay to showcase at the moment, but there are a few elements we can pick apart from the reveal so far.

One interesting thing to note in the post referencing Battlefield 6’s Battle Royale mode is “Plates on”, likely referencing that their BR mode will have armor plating similar to COD’s Warzone. Again, we don’t have any gameplay showcasing this right now, but comparisons are already being drawn between COD and BF6.

Not only have both games been clashing throughout several points this year, but both communities are actively butting heads. This will likely reignite these discussions, depending on how much BF6 changes the formula.

What Could Be Different?

Aside from the mention of armor plating, BF6’s movement has been nerfed since the beta, and most Battlefield 6 fans are happy about this change. Will this more realistic movement help and change BF6’s overall gameplay flow? Will Vehicles play a more prominent role, rather than just act as a simple mode of transportation?

When & Where to Watch

We will know more when EA goes live tomorrow at 8:00 PT / 15:00 UTC. You can watch it live on YouTube here, or on Twitch for some exclusive Twitch Drops starting tomorrow as well. The new Battle Royale will also be launching alongside BF6’s First Season, so tomorrow is going to be a big day across the board!

But what do you think? Are you excited for BF6 getting a BR, or do you think there are enough games with enough Battle Royale modes already? Until we know the full details, keep an eye on our other games news for more info.
