We are a little over two days away from the long-awaited WoW Forever launch, and some players might still have some doubt about whether they want to spend money by pre-ordering the game.
We’re going over all the benefits of purchasing a WoW Forever pre-order, and whether they are worth your money!
Do I Need to Purchase a WoW Forever Pre-Order to Play?
No! All you need for access to WoW Forever is to have an active subscription.
If you have received an Invite-a-Friend code from someone who did purchase a WoW Forever pre-order edition, you will have free access to WoW Forever, no subscription required, through November 11.
Which WoW Forever Pre-Order is Worth Purchasing?
We believe that the Skyborne Heroic Pack and Skyborne Epic Pack are both pretty good for what you get from them. The Heroic Pack already gives you access to the Skyborne race and Early Name Reservation, as well as several cosmetics. The invite-a-friend codes are also interesting, as they give people free access to WoW Forever through November 11, and might be a good way to convince friends who are on the fence about dedicating subscription money to WoW Forever.
The Warcraft Forever Collection, however, is a different story. It is a cheaper way to experience Warcraft III: Reforged and the new Forsaken Kingdom campaign (than buying WC3 and the campaign standalone). However, if you already have access to either, or have no interest in the RTS game, you are spending 20 extra Dollars/Euro only for a couple of extra Housing items on Retail WoW, and zero benefit for WoW Forever itself.
What do I Get For Each WoW Forever Pre-Order Edition?
