With just a week left until the WoW Forever beta ends, players are wrapping up their goals and deciding on what class to main on release day. Since the beta began, volunteers from classicplus.io have scanned over one million characters created!
While the Faction balance appears to be a pretty even split, let’s take a look at some of the most (and least) played Races, Classes, and Combinations from the WoW Forever Beta.
Class Distribution
Of the 1 million character scans, Hunter is the most popular class on the beta, with over 156,000 characters, making up 15.6% of the total population. The most popular Race options for Hunter include Night Elves, along with the new class/race combination of Humans.
Interestingly, their spell-casting counterpart, the Warlock, was the least-played class in the Beta, making up just 9% of the population. As expected, Warlock is most often paired with the Undead race.
Race Distribution
Undead and Human are the most popular single-faction races on the Forever beta, making up nearly one-third of the player base combined. However, the new Skyborne race made up a combined 18.7% of characters, with a population of nearly 190,000, making them the most-chosen Race overall.
While Orcs have arguably the strongest racials in the game, they only made up 9.5% of the total population. Similarly, Trolls struggled with only 6.7% of the population, despite their seemingly overpowered Racials.
Top Class/Race Combinations
Unsurprisingly, the new Undead Paladin combination takes the top spot, with nearly 6% of the total population playing this combo. But again, since Skyborne are divided between Alliance and Horde, they actually come in first place with a total of nearly 60,000 Skyborne Druids on the Forever beta.
Additionally, the new Dwarf Shaman saw a decent amount of representation, with over 43,000 characters created. Some of the least-played race/class combinations on the beta include:
- Troll Warrior (0.4%)
- Dwarf Priest (0.4%)
- Dwarf Rogue (0.2%)
