The Camping feature in World of Warcraft: Forever started out with players being able to set down crafted profession items that grant buffs. But it seems there is more to it than class buff copies, as these profession camping items have up to three tiers at higher levels.
For Herbalism, the mystery began when players started looting new seeds while gathering, such as Commonplace Herb Seeds, Uncommon Herb Seeds and Scarce Herb Seeds. These brand-new items have an on-use text that reads: “Plant the seed in a Greenhouse to grow it over time.”
Naturally, the next question was, “What’s a Greenhouse?” Turns out, the next tier up from Herbalism’s Incense Candle is the Greenhouse. The on-use text for the item reads: “Places a Greenhouse that will grow herbs over time from seeds planted, and provides all of the benefits of an Incense Candle. Requires a Campfire nearby.”
The problem is, no one knows how to get the blueprint for the craft. It’s been found in the data, but so far no one has reported where it’s actually acquired from.
I wish I could say we’ll find out when the Beta level cap rises to 30, but based on the required materials, that seems unlikely. To craft the Greenhouse, you need Arthas’ Tears and Purple Lotus. While you can find Purple Lotus in Ashenvale and Stranglethorn Vale, Arthas’ Tears won’t sho up until Western Plaguelands and Felwood.
So even though crafting a Greenhouse only requires Herbalism skill level 140, it’s unlikely that we’ll see how it actually works until the full release of WoW Forever on November 4th. Either way, it’s a cool addition to Herbalism, and nice to know that our campsites will be useful for more than getting class buffs you might not normally have access to!
