The mysterious Twitch stream from earlier today is now over, and we now have a name for WoW Forever’s very first Legendary weapon: the Staff, Taldramir, the Whispering Wood!
The staff was built on Warcraft’s secret livestream in partnership with Wētā Workshop, whose previous collaborations with Blizzard include most of the armor and weapons shown in the Warcraft movie.
Clues Hidden in the WoW Forever Datamining
Although one of WoW Forever’s tenets is focusing on discovery, this legendary was not exactly hidden. Clues in the datamining of the first Forever build led us to a few details about exactly how we’re going to obtain this staff.
If you do not want to see potential spoilers for WoW: Forever’s Taldramir Legendary Questline, do not scroll further!
You can read more detailed information about Taldramir’s potential legendary questline in our post from back in September.
According to datamining, this is a Healing-focused staff Legendary that has several steps involving the Hyjal Summit raid, Un’Goro Crater, and the Cenarion Circle faction. Here’s some speculation on how the questline is likely to go down:
- Complete the Hyjal Summit raid (with a possible hard mode boss).
- Complete several difficult solo encounters.
- Complete a Puzzle in Un’Goro Crater.
- Complete a Ritual with the Cenarion Circle, which appears to include six vessels.
