Urgent Warning for Name Reservation for Oceanic Players

Starym's Avatar by Starym

There’s a big bug affecting Oceanic players who are trying to register their names on Australia-based servers! Blizzard has warned players not to create characters on Normal or PvP rulesets first, as this will lock out their ability to create them on Roleplay and Roleplay-PvP rulesets. The workaround is very simple: you create your first character on the Roleplay ruleset(s). They are also working to fix this issue promptly.

Also don’t forget, you only get three name reservations per account, regardless of ruleset!

Attention Oceanic players connecting to Australian-based servers!

Due to a bug, you must create any characters on Roleplay or Roleplay-PvP rulesets before creating characters on Normal or PvP rulesets.

If you first create a character on the Normal or PvP ruleset, the Roleplay and Roleplay-PvP rulesets will no longer be available for subsequent characters.

This issue should only be present for players in the Oceanic region who are connecting to Australian servers, and we’re working on a fix for it urgently.

Thank you!
