This weekend, Warlocks dominated the $100,000 Forever Open level 30 dueling tournament. With so much money on the line, players from all over the world participated in this historic event. After thousands of duels, an incalculable amount of gold spent on consumables, and dozens of hours grinding, Warlockguy came out on top, winning the grand prize of $50,000!
Warlocks ended up being the most dominant class in the tournament, coming away with both first and second place. Additionally, there were 14 Warlocks in the qualifying brackets that went completely undefeated. This was the second highest-performing class, with Paladins having 15 undefeated duelers.
In this tournament, Warlocks were 50/50 against Paladins and in mirror matchups, with Mages giving them their most difficult challenges. In all other matchups, Warlocks were the favorable class to win.
At level 30, some of the Warlock’s biggest strengths are their ability to control their opponents through
Fear and
Seduction, damage-over-time spells preventing enemies from healing or going stealth, and the versatility of their pet buffs through
Demonic Sacrifice and
Soul Link.
In addition to the grand prize of $50,000 awarded to Warlockguy, every duelist who came in first place for their respective class also won $5,555 each! Congratulations to the winners of the Forever Open, and special thanks to Tips Out for hosting this great community event.
