Everyone who played WoW back in the day remembers how epic in-game encounters with Game Masters were. A Game Master would show up in person in their iconic cloth armor, cast various fun spells, solve your issue and end by telling you a joke before logging off. This was pretty much the gold standard during Vanilla.
Back then, Gamemasters interacted with players a lot! Don’t see many in-game these days.

The philosophy has since shifted in modern-day WoW, where the vast majority of support tickets are now solved without logging into the game or rather appearing before players.
The Snowstorm Era
At WoW Forever launch, however, the community has reported multiple in-game GM encounters. The last name of the Game Masters was “Snowstorm”, which seems to be a nod to Blizzard and the good old days!

JustCallMeSona encountered Laurisperra, who told them the following joke:
How many worgen druids does it take to chase a cat up a tree? Three. One to be the worgen, one to be the cat, one to be a tree.
A wild GM appeared!

If you weren’t lucky enough to encounter a GM in person during Vanilla, we hope you at least met one at Forever launch!
