WoW Forever’s New Legacy System Rewards You for Starting the Journey All Over Again

WoW: Forever is introducing the Legacy System, designed to give players even more reasons to level alts and keep exploring Azeroth!

The Legacy System

Players will be able to complete Legacy Challenges, covering things such as exploring, levelling specific classes, levelling professions, earning PvP ranks, increasing reputations, and completing dungeons/raids.

Completing these challenges will award Legacy Points, which can then be spent in three different Legacy Trees: Adventure, Professions, and Resourcefulness.

These unlockable perks range from practical levelling bonuses to profession perks. Here are a few examples:

  • In the Adventure tree, Well Rested will increase your resting XP gains and storage.
  • Bountiful Harvest from the Profession tree will increase materials gathered through gathering.
  • Reagent Economy, one of the final talents in the Resourcefulness tree. Your class abilities no longer require reagents purchasable from vendors, and your Tier 1 camping features cost no reagents to craft.

Legacy Points and Rewards

If WoW: Forever is anything, it is highly customisable—and that customisation doesn’t stop with the Legacy System. Legacy Points will be shared across your Battle.net account, however, you get to decide how each character spends them separately. This will allow you to build different with different perks based on how you want to play them.

To prevent new players falling behind, at launch, players will only be able to spend 16 points in their Legacy Trees. Any points accumulated beyond that will contribute towards the Legacy Reward Track, which will provide cosmetic and prestige rewards, such as the Spectral Bear Cub. But importantly, the Legacy Reward Track will not provide any gameplay advantage.

Once the spending cap is lifted, players will be able to spend up to a total of 65 Legacy Points. Blizzard have indicated that this system is planned to expand, with more points and perks to be added in the future!

Whether your aim in Forever is to level an alt army, or focus on one character, the Legacy System has perks for everyone!
