With the start of Season 2, players can get started on the Voidforge questline, which will eventually unlock Bonus Rolls and Ascendant Venomstones that are used to upgrade items at a later point in the season.
The questline starts at Decimus in Voidstorm, who sends you to the Voidforge, which has been conveniently relocated to Silvermoon. Players will then pick up a quest that requires collecting 10 Elementary Voidcore Shards from Raid bosses, M+ dungeons, Bountiful Delves, and Nightmare Prey Hunts.
Interestingly, the questgiver Orin Straylight displays a bar counting down the days until his research is complete and Nebulous Voidcores become available on the week of October 6th, which is exactly 8 weeks after the release of patch 12.1, hinting at the possible release date of patch 12.1.5.
In Season 1, Bonus Rolls became available with the release of patch 12.0.5, and the countdown coincides with the 8-week patch cadence that Blizzard has committed to.
