Season 2 of World of Warcraft Midnight arrives on August 18, 2026 in North America, and August 19, 2026 in Europe. This guide will cover everything Season 2 offers, including a fresh and frightening new raid, new Mythic+ and PvP seasons, and information on the new class set bonuses and outfits!
New Raid in Midnight Season 2

Mythic+ in Midnight Season 2
Patch 12.1 introduces a completely new dungeon, both to Midnight Mythic+ and to the game: The Altar of Fangs. This poisonous pit will be available on Heroic difficulty starting the week of August 11, and will join the other dungeons in the Midnight Season 2 Mythic+ rotation the week of August 18.
Altar of Fangs is accompanied by an additional four Midnight dungeons, as well as three returning dungeons from other expansions, to make up the dungeon rotation for Mythic+ Season 2!
PvP in Midnight Season 2
Take on other players in ruthless Player vs Player content such as Arena, Battlegrounds, and world PvP with new seasonal rewards to earn! The brand new Arena Training Grounds will open for play the week of August 11, while Midnight PvP Season 2 starts the week of August 18.
Delves and Prey in Midnight Season 2
Bountiful Delves and Nightmare Prey go live with the launch of Season 2! Adventure with Valeera Sanguinar to take on bigger, more virulent challenges with the Season 2 Delver's Journey. Venture into three previously-unexplored Delves, including the new Nemesis lurking in Venomfall Deeps, and face off against venomous variants in existing Delves.
Astalor Bloodsworn offers hunts tinged with a poisonous twist in Midnight Season 2. Kill for him and earn even greater rewards (while discovering his new voice lines!).
World Bosses in Midnight Season 2
With Midnight Season 2 we are being introduced to a novel approach to World Bosses: Lairs. Located in fixed, instanced locations, Lair bosses will adjust in difficulty all the way up to Mythic, while also offering flexible raid size from 15 to 25 players.
The first ever Lair boss to the game is Nymrissa Wavecaller, tucked away in the Tidebound Grotto beneath the Coiled Isle. Her "World Content" difficulty is available beginning the week of August 11.
