It’s a big week for our stats, as we’re doing the Mythic switch (where we move focus to Mythic and reduce Heroic), AND the giant class tuning pass has had a full week to show its results! Unholy is the spec of the day, blasting up after the tuning pass and dominating the charts.
Note: We are using normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it’s AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.
Note 2: Warcraft Logs bundled the Lair boss, Nymrissa Wavecaller, from the Tidebound Grotto into the Venomous Abyss rankings, which means the logs from here affect the overall rankings you can see below.
Mythic Venomous Abyss
Mythic is still growing its population, and still doing so slowly. This week, we see another 10-ish% bump. When it comes to actual movement for the specs, we have to go all the way to the bottom of the top 10! Here we see Unholy pushing in, leaping 6 spots up and brushing Shadow to the side. Considering its performance in the logs below post-tuning, it’s very likely to go a lot higher still! The lower part of the chart is also unmoved so far, with Fire, Survival, and Fury languishing in the bottom 3.
Overall Damage 95th Percentile
Unholy has seemingly secured its place at the top in the top percentiles, as it has a significant lead ahead of Demonology. Retribution is also doing very well, but spots 3 to 6 are very much neck-and-neck and might change at any time. We have both Evokers in the top 10, with Devastation doing better in 6th, and Augmentation sitting in 9th. Interestingly, it’s the only class to have more than one representative in the top 10, and there’s no Rogues in it at all. Enhancement finds itself at the very bottom, joined by Beast Mastery and Fury.
Overall Damage, All Percentiles
We can see Unholy’s giant climb better in the generalist bracket, as we’ve been tracking this one for a while now. The Death Knight gains a HUGE 10 spots to move into first place, and also has a very big lead, also ahead of Demonology, which toppled Balance in 2nd place this week. Shadow is the other big post-tuning climber, gaining three spots in 4th. Frost Mage is also gaining some traction, two spots up. Affliction wasn’t as lucky, dropping four spots into 7th, same as Retribution, down in 9th. Heroic’s darling, Arcane, is also down this week, two spots and into the final top 10 slot. Fury has the dubious honor of being in the bottom three of all the charts we’ve poked into so far.
Damage to Bosses
We can see where Unholy gains its power. as it’s FAR ahead of everyone else in the direct damage chart. We do see some Rogues pop up here, including Subtlety in 2nd, and Frost DK is also doing well.
Individual Bosses
The final two bosses still don’t have that many guilds at them, so we’ll take a look at those down in the Heroic charts.
Sszorak
Unholy is ahead by a lot here as well, with this particular fight really favoring Rogues, as all three are in the top 10, and two are in the top 3.
Twin Fangs
The big cleave fight still has the cleavers on top.
Heroic Venomous Abyss
While we’re seeing a dropoff for the top spec, the rest of the Heroic population is about the same, maybe slightly bigger. Arcane is still on top, but down around 10K players, while Retribution is ever closer, gaining 15K. We see Unholy rise quite a bit here as well, gaining four spots in 7th place. As you’d expect, Frost dropped off as the Death Knights switched.
Overall Damage All Percentiles
Arms comes out on top of the 3rd place brawl, besting Demonology this week. But right after that we see a spec that will be moving past both of them shortly, as Unholy is on the move, gaining an insane 15 spots since the previous week! The two Rogues stay together, now one spot down. Frost DKs actually also move up, but just one spot, ahead of Retribution which sits in 10th place.

Marksmanship moves to the top here as well, eclipsing Arms in the process.
Ula’tek
Havoc has its day in the sun on the final boss, but nothing can quite beat out Assassination’s single-target heart burn.
