Leveling Alchemy or Inscription Now Could Make You Rich in 11.2.7

Player housing arrives in Patch 11.2.7, bringing one of World of Warcraft’s most creative new systems: furniture dyeing. Whether you’re building a cozy hideaway or a gothic mansion, you’ll have full control over your home’s colour palette. But don’t expect to grab these dyes off a vendor shelf—you’ll need to craft them yourself, or buy them from other players who can.

Dye Crafting 101: The Professions You’ll Need

Alchemy and Inscription are the core professions behind dye crafting, making them essential for decorators, and a lucrative gold-making option for players looking to profit from the inevitable housing craze.

To create dyes, you’ll need to use the Dye Crafter, a specialised workstation located in the central hubs of Razorwind Shores and Founders Point—the Horde and Alliance housing neighborhoods.

No Professions? No Problem!

Don’t worry if you haven’t levelled Alchemy or Inscription—you’ll still be able to buy dyes directly on the Auction House. That said, demand is expected to skyrocket once player housing goes live. For those with the right professions, this presents a huge gold-making opportunity. Alchemists and scribes who prepare early could find themselves sitting on one of the most profitable markets in Midnight

So if you want to save a pretty penny, start leveling your professions now—and maybe make a tidy profit while you’re at it!
