Blizzard has officially detailed the gamescom lineup! Starting August 19th we have a whole lot of content coming our way.
The big one is obviously the Midnight expansion reveal on opening night. Then there’s two developer panels, one covering Midnight in general on the 21st and the other its systems and features on the 23rd. There is plenty more to see, however, with interviews, a cosplay contest, and the Creator Clash, where players will be competing in everything from Housing challenges to dungeon speedruns and Arena clashes!

gamescom 2025 kicks off with Opening Night Live beginning at 11:00 am PDT (20:00 CEST) on August 19. You can catch the reveal of Midnight for the first time in a live stream direct from Cologne, Germany. If you’re attending gamescom, you can join us at the World of Warcraft booth in Hall 8 for even more activities including a hands-on Housing demo.
Watch the Midnight Developer Panels
We’re pleased to announce that we will now be sharing the full VoDs of the developer panels from the gamescom 2025 show floor shortly after the conclusion of the panels. These developer presentations will serve the same purpose as the previously announced Midnight Expansion Reveal broadcast. You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the zones, quests, stories, and features of the Midnight expansion as presented directly from the developers. We look forward to sharing from gamescom all the exciting details the expansion has to offer! Stay tuned to the official World of Warcraft site.
Get Hands-On With Player Housing
For the first time ever, World of Warcraft Housing will be playable on the show floor!
We’ve put out the welcome mat for you, so come visit us in Hall 8 to get hands-on with this highly anticipated feature and see what’s possible when your creativity meets Azeroth.
Developer Panels at gamescom
Go deeper into all things Midnight and hear directly from the people behind the game. During gamescom 2025 we’ll host two developer panels for attendees of the show dedicated to exploring more of the features, zones, and story of Midnight live from the World of Warcraft Community Stage:
- The World of Midnight: A Further Look into the Zones, Quests, and Story: On August 21 at 13:00 CEST with Senior Game Director Ion Hazzikostas and Associate Design Director Maria Hamilton
- Systems Download: Diving Deeper into the Features of Midnight: On August 23 at 11:00 CEST with Senior Game Director Ion Hazzikostas and Associate Game Director Paul Kubit.
For those who can’t attend the show, we’ll also have VoDs for each panel available shortly after their conclusion.
Meet the World of Warcraft Developers
Get to know the minds behind Azeroth. At gamescom 2025, you’ll have the chance to meet the World of Warcraft developers at the Community Stage. Following our two developer panels fans can join exclusive signing events with members of the development team. We’ll also host two additional Developer Meet & Greet sessions on the following days and times:

- Saturday, August 23 at 11:30 CEST

Creators Take the Spotlight
Over the course of the weekend, some of the most recognized content creators from the World of Warcraft community take their turn on the Community Stage.
Saturday, August 23:
- 13:45 CEST: Taliesin & Evitel sit down with Associate Design Director Maria Hamilton and Art Director Ely Cannon to discuss Midnight’s world building live on stage.
- 16:45 CEST: Austrian Rapper and longtime WoW player Dame takes over the Community Stage at for a live performance.
- 17:30 CEST: MrGM meets with Senior Game Director Ion Hazzikostas to talk about the future of World of Warcraft.
Sunday, August 24:
- 12:30 CEST: Metashi & Mcky and KDRKitten test their design skills in a live World of Warcraft Housing session.
You’ll also get to meet with your favorite creators in two sessions on August 22 at 11:15 CEST and on August 24 at 11:30 CEST.
This is just the start of what we have planned. Expect even more community-driven panels, surprise appearances, and interactive moments all week long.
Come As You Are for the Cosplay Contest
Join us on Saturday, 23 of August at 15:00 CEST to witness iconic Warcraft characters brought to life during our Cosplay Contest.

Go Live with the Creator Clash at gamescom!
While attendees will get hands on at the event, we’ll also be streaming the Creator Clash live. Viewers can watch their favorite streamers engaging in a range of activities live from gamescom on the Warcraft Twitch & YouTube channels taking place August 20-22.
Creator Clash will feature:
- Livestreamed showcases of Player Housing on Wednesday and Friday.
- Creator Matches in the new Season 3 Mythic Dungeons & Delves.
- Cross-Region Arena bracket featuring the top 4 teams from AWC Season 2.
