Ranged Hunters Can Finally Use Weapon Illusions in Patch 12.1

Weapon Illusions have been a staple for transmogrification since they were first introduced all the way back in the Legion expansion, almost a decade ago at this point.

Notably, the one class that could not interact at full capacity with illusions are Hunters. For the longest time, Ranged Weapons could not receive Weapon Illusions. This is because Illusions only previously worked with weapons that had actual enchants, while Hunters, for the longest time, could only use Engineering Scopes.

Only Survival Hunters, Melee weapon users, could use Illusions on their weapons… until now!

Ranged Weapons Eligible for (Some) Illusions in Patch 12.1

The latest Patch 12.1 build brings great news to Ranged Hunters: After a long, long time, Bows, Crossbows, and Guns are finally eligible for weapon illusions!

TRANSMOGRIFICATION

  • Ranged weapons (bows, crossbows, and guns) can now use a variety of illusions in transmog.

As of right now on the PTR, the illusion selection is somewhat limited to enchants obtained in recent expansions. As with all things PTR, we will very likely see more options before the patch goes live.

This adds a whole new layer of customization for ranged Hunters. What illusions do you wanna use with your ranged weapons?
