BlizzCon 2026 is just a few days away, and for World of Warcraft players, there’s a lot to be excited about!
Game Director, Ion Hazzikostas even teased that it’s going to be an “amazing BlizzCon for Warcraft fans” during his recent interview with Psybear_tv.
So, what exactly can we expect to see revealed for World of Warcraft at BlizzCon?
More Midnight
Let’s start with the obvious: more Midnight. BlizzCon isn’t only about looking towards the next expansion. It’s easy to get carried away with the speculation, but Midnight still has plenty of story left to tell.
We’re certainly going to see more of what’s coming to the current expansion. The 12.1.5 PTR has just gone live, with 12.1.7, 12.2, and beyond confirmed to be featuring on the timetable. We could get new story details, new zones, raids or dungeons, or potentially some big surprises planned for the rest of the expansion.
Either way, we will definitely get a clearer picture of where Midnight is heading.
Could We Finally See The Last Titan?
The Last Titan is the conclusion to the Worldsoul Saga, and BlizzCon would be the perfect place to give us a sneaky peek.
Blizzard have frequently used BlizzCon to announce entire expansions, and debut cinematic trailers live in front of thousands of fans. There’s something extra exciting about showing a huge WoW cinematic to a packed BlizzCon crowd and hearing the reaction happen in real time.
Whether we get a full cinematic trailer, a glimpse at a reimagined Northrend, or some familiar characters returning, we’re not sure. But there’s another big question hanging over that cinematic.
What About Xal’atath?
Xal’atath has been the face of the Void threat for a long time now, but her presence in Midnight feels like it has taken a bit of a back seat. We know that her plans are forming a major part in Midnight’s story—but does her story actually end with Midnight?
There have been plenty of theories surrounding what Xal’atath actually wants, but would Blizzard actually show Xal’atath in a The Last Titan cinematic if doing so would spoil the ending of Midnight?
Again, we’re not certain of either Xal’atath or Blizzard’s plans, but we’re hoping we might get a little more insight this weekend.
And Then There’s Classic…
Then of course, there’s the elephant in the room. Will we get the Classic+ announcement? Who knows, but this weekend all eyes will surely be on Azeroth!
