This tier list both measures the power of each spec and class and compares their performance. The end goal is to provide greater clarity and transparency into each spec’s performance before and after the start of the expansion. Enjoy the read!

Midnight Beta Class Tier List for the Week of February 8, 2026
DISCLAIMER: Please keep in mind this is a Progressive Tier List of Patch 12.0.1 Season 1 in Midnight expansion. Beta Build uses max level gear, new tier-set, and all talents that you inherit once you hit max level (including the Apex talents), as such, it will be severely different on how specs perform during Pre-Patch. All opinions are subjective and should be taken with a grain of salt. I update this tier list every Sunday at 14:00 CEST live on my stream, before updating the guides on Icy Veins!

S-Tier Rankings Unchanged
Although there have been a ton of class changes, during last week, there has been no shift on the top end of the bracket; the same specs remain dominant for more than 5 weeks in a row. Demonology Warlock is currently the king of all DPSers due to its unmatched single-target and AoE potential (although quite a few bugs make it better than it is), followed closely by Arcane Mage & Frost Mage.
Many Changes in A+ Tier
In the A+ tier, the biggest changes come from the newly introduced Devourer Demon Hunter, which, after a strong round of buffs last week, climbed to the A+ tier. The changes further improve their burst & sustain damage by providing their major cooldowns to be generated a lot faster. Although no tuning has been done on their behalf, other specs have now become more powerful.
Windwalker Rogue & Feral Druid Redemption Arc Into A-Tier?
After a long-awaited buffs for both specs, they will finally be moving a few tiers up based on the most recent class changes. Feral Druid has finally got its Apex talents working, along with some well-rounded buffs which further strengthen its already great AoE damage profile. Unfortunately, their single target is the main reason why they haven’t progressed further into the tierlist.
Retribution Needs More Love Now!
Unfortunately for fans of Retribution Paladin they are currently considered the worst pick in the current Beta cycle, due to poor tuning and even poorer design. There is still plenty of time for them to get buffed and improve, but for now they will remain in the C-tier.
