The Altar of Corrosion is an important portion of the Vaults of Atal’Utek area, but four of its trait choices require more than spending Corrosive Coins. Learn how to obtain the four choice node traits for the Altar of Corrosion!
What is the Altar of Corrosion?
The Altar of Corrosion is a power system tied to the Vaults of Atal’Utek area. The talents from the Altar of Corrosion are mostly unlocked by exchanging 
Corrosive Coins for talent points.
Obtaining all traits from the Altar of Corrosion is required for the 
Fully Corroded achievement. This achievement is part of the 
Assault the Vault meta-achievement, which awards the 
Venomous Coiler mount.
How to Obtain The Choice Nodes in the Altar of Corrosion
Amidst all the traits for the Altar of Corrosion, four choice node traits are initially locked. Unlocking these traits requires completing certain quests, which are hidden in a small treasure hunt involving activities in the Vaults.

Feather of Tok’jara Unlock
To obtain the choice nodes locked by the Feather of Tok’jara, you must unlock it via the Spirit Loupe, obtained by defeating any Ancient Foe that spawns at the end of a Temple Incursion.
Once you have the Spirit Loupe, you can use it to unlock the Feather of Tok’jara, located on a ledge to the right of the Venomous Abyss raid entrance. This unlocks the following choice node options:
Spirit Walk: The 
Spirit Walk provided by Amani Windcallers now lasts 3 minutes.
Spectral Shipping: Amani Windcallers can now fly you to more locations in the Vaults of Atal’Utek.

Mummified Lynx’s Paw Unlock
To obtain the choice nodes locked by the Mummified Lynx’s Paw, you must unlock it via the Corroded Key, obtained by completing Temple Strikes in the Vaults of Atal’Utek.
Once you have the Corroded Key, you can use it to unlock the Mummified Lynx’s Paw. These can be found in chests under poison waterfalls around the Vaults in multiple locations. This unlocks the following choice node options:
Glideways: You can now find additional Spiritwing Feathers in the Vaults of Atal’Utek. These will raise you to great heights within the Vaults.
Swift Steps: You can now find additional Spiritwing Gusts in the Vaults of Atal’Utek. These allow you to leap across great gaps within the Vaults.

Eye of Szarith Unlock
To obtain the choice nodes locked by the Eye of Szarith, you must unlock it via the Excising Knife, obtained by completing Temple Incursions in the Vaults of Atal’Utek.
Once you have the Excising Knife, you can use it to unlock the Eye of Szarith. The Eye is located in the Underbelly at the northern end of the Vaults, inside a circular pool of poison. It unlocks the following choice nodes:
Egg Specialist: Damage dealt to eggs in Atal’Utek increased by 100%.
Egg Evasion: Damage taken from egg bursts reduced by 75%.

Lost Med’jai Amulet Unlock
To obtain the choice nodes locked by the Lost Med’jai Amulet, you must unlock it via the Dispelling Charm. The charm is obtained by defeating High Priest Jin’tal. He is located in the Vault of Restless Brothers area on the Western portion of the Vaults, and you will find this mob naturally during the side questline starting with The Med’jai Medallion.
Once you have the Dispelling Charm, you can use it to unlock the Lost Med’jai amulet. The amulet itself is located in the Profaned Mausoleum area, on the Eastern side of the Vaults. Once you enter the area, take a left turn, and you will find it by a chest on top of a shelf. It unlocks the following choice nodes:
Surge Seniority: Ghostly allies now rally alongside you in Curse Surges on the surface of the Coiled Isle.
Spiritual Succession: Spirits will now instantly resurrect you on death in Atal’Utek.
