It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, and it’s a new week in World of Warcraft! But before you go running head-first into your weekly raids, we’ve got something to share—a bonus roll “hack” that might help you get closer to getting your BiS.
The Bonus Roll “Hack”
If you’re rolling with a specific item in mind, then you might want to check the loot table for your different specs. As highlighted by buldog_13, “Pick[ing] the loot specification that drops the lowest amount of gear but still drops the item you want” gives you the best odds at receiving said item.“
An example of this (thanks to zharkos) is switching loot specs from Frost/Unholy to Blood for Chimaerus, as this leaves three items in the pool instead of four.
It’s a simple trick that is easily forgotten—so remember to check the loot table for your other specs before spending your
