You may have noticed the site looks a bit different today. Do not worry, you are still on Icy Veins! We have just launched the first beta of the redesign for our World of Warcraft Retail section.
A New Look for Icy Veins’s Retail WoW Section
Here’s what readers should expect from the new Icy Veins design:
- Easier site navigation! Side links on guides are now more curated, leading to a better reading experience, as you’ll actually find the content you’re looking for.
- More page width! More content width means more information can fit on the screen at any single time. This helps facilitate the creation of better tools and just less scrolling for the user.
- Class Guides now have improved rotation and talent tools! Moving away from lists and toward interactive tooling engages users and makes learning easier.
- Easier on the eyes! The new color scheme has a dark background and fewer distractions from the side panels. This helps readers read the content more easily and retain information.
For now, the re-design is only affecting our WoW Retail section. The plan is to gradually roll it out to other sections while we continue to flesh out the new Icy Veins user experience.
Be mindful that our new design is still in Beta, and further changes may occur as we continue refining the site. During this initial beta phase, our priority is to test the layout and make targeted fixes based on your feedback, so everything feels right before we expand it to other sections.

Class Icon Designs by JiberishUI and Handclaw
The class icons used in our new site design were originally created as part of the JiberishUI‘s ElvUI edit in collaboration with handclaw. Thank you so much for letting us use them!
These beautiful icons can be seen on the main Icy Veins WoW homepage and in various dropdowns across class pages.
