Blizzard China has confirmed in a blog post that in Season 3’s Turbo Boost event, you’ll need to defeat Manaforge Omega raid bosses on Mythic difficulty to unlock the ability to purchase their loot with Puzzling Cartel Chips. The event will begin sometime after Patch 11.2.5 will go live.
Season 2 Had the Same Lock
These limitations have been in place during the Season 2 Turbo Boost as well. Keep in mind this requirement is character-specific, so you won’t be able to buy Myth-track gear on alts by having your main simply beating the raid on Mythic difficulty.
To purchase Myth track raid gear will require the associated boss to have been defeated at least once in Mythic difficulty to purchase that gear.
If you’ve hoped for changes on this front, it seems they’re not happening.
