WoW Housing Is Getting a New Way to Showcase Player Homes, Transmogs, and More

Player Housing is set to become much more than just a place to decorate, with Blizzard exploring new ways for players to share and showcase their creations! During the recent Q&A on the WoW Portal Room Discord, Game Director, Ion Hazzikostas, revealed some updates that the team is working towards for future updates.

One feature currently being worked on is a “Housing Showcase” system—working title, not the final name—where players can list their homes in a “searchable, browsable” format. This would allow players to discover interesting builds and visit them directly in-game. The feature would be completely opt-in, meaning players can choose whether they want their homes to be discoverable.

Blizzard is also looking into more ways to personalise homes, including mannequins for displaying transmog sets. This would give players an opportunity to display any creative sets, or rare items they’ve collected on their travels.

Ion also mentioned adding “Profession hooks” to Player Housing. Whilst Blizzard don’t want Player Housing to become a necessary part of Professions, having a functional forge is something we could expect to see in the future!
