It’s been over a week since World of Warcraft: Midnight launched, and many players are already grinding gear and preparing for Season 1 next week. To help you stay ahead, we’ve put together a quick breakdown of what’s coming in the weeks ahead, along with a recap of what we know so far and what could arrive in Midnight’s later seasons.
Midnight Season 1 Summary
With the start of Season 1 of Midnight, which begins March 17th, players will finally get to dive into:
- World Bosses
- Bountiful & Nemesis Delves
- Normal & Heroic Void Spire Raid
- Normal & Heroic Dreamrift Raid
- First wing of LFR opens
- Rated PvP
- Heroic/ M0 Seasonal Dungeons
- Nightmare Track for Preyseeker opens
It’s very important to note that only on March 24th, aka week two, will players finally get:
- Mythic + Opens
- Mythic Void Spire
- Mythic Dreamrift
But after that, on the 31st, the third raid, March on Quel’Danas, will open. Not only will normal and Heroic difficulty be available, but Mythic difficulty too.
Midnight Roadmap Summary
Back during the State of Azeroth stream, players also got a look into the future of Midnight, and we have a rough idea of what to expect throughout the year, all the way past BlizzCon.

In the spring, we will be getting Void Assaults (possibly similar to Legion’s Assaults) & Prop Hunt. Shortly afterthose Void Assaults will escalate along with a New Raid, story quests, and the return of the Turbulent Timeways event.
In the Summer, with patch 12.1, players are getting a new zone, another New Raid, Dungeon, Delves, World Bosss, and Housing UI & Social Updates. All of this comes with the start of Season 2. However, there’s already some speculation about where this new zone will be.
Dataminers have already managed to slip into the Isle of Fangs, aka the huge island off the coast of Zul’aman. Some images showcase Ula-Tek serpent goddess and her effects on Troll lands. But some have begun to speculate that we might see a return of a particular fan favorite Loa from BFA.

Lastly, after BlizzCon, we know that 12.1.5 will introduce another New Raid, a new system called the Labyrinth, along with additional content and system updates. 12.1.7 will then offer additional story quests, updates for holidays, a new standalone mode, and another Turbulent Timeways event.
But that’s all we know for now. We will likely know more as we draw closer to BlizzCon, so keep an eye on our latest news!
