Cataclysm Classic Enhancement Shaman Enchants and Consumables

While it is easy to understand which Enchants, Gems, and Consumables you should use in Cataclysm, they also have an outsized impact on your performance, especially when doing hard content such as Heroic Raiding.

Below is a list of the optimal consumables and enchants to help you get the most out of your Enhancement.

Agile Shadowspirit Diamond is by far the best option for your Meta Gem, as it gives a considerable amount of Agility and increases the amount of damage dealt by Critical Strikes by 3%. Always make sure you have at least three Red Gems in your gear to keep your Meta gem active.

Our focus is maximizing Agility as much as possible, and thus you want to socket Delicate Queen's Garnet in all slots except if the socket bonus is of 10 Agility or higher.

• In Red Sockets, you will use Delicate Queen's Garnet.
• In Blue Sockets, use Glinting Shadow Spinel if the socket bonus is 10 or more Agility, otherwise Delicate Queen's Garnet.
• In Yellow Sockets, use Adept Lava Coral if the socket bonus is 10 or more Agility, otherwise Delicate Queen's Garnet.

Similar to Gems, the goal with your food buff is maximizing your Agility. There are three options that all grant 90 Agility:

• Skewered Eel
• Fortune Cookie
• Seafood Magnifique Feast

Enhancement Shamans should use Flask of the Winds.

For combat potion, use Potion of the Tol'vir along with your cooldowns and just before pulling, and Mythical Healing Potion for emergency self-healing.

While you will not have much time to cast them and any kind of damage taken will interrupt their healing, Dense Embersilk Bandage can be the difference between surviving or dying so it is a great Mana-free way to heal yourself in an emergency.
