The Forge of Souls Dungeon Guide

Before heading into The Forge of Souls, we advise you to get all the dungeon quests related to it. To make this process easier, we have written a separate guide for the quests and their chains.

The Forge of Souls entrance can be found in the far South of Icecrown, on the Southern side of the Icecrown Citadel structure.

Here we will give you a full rundown of what you can expect from each of the bosses found here on both Normal and Heroic difficulties as well as the items they drop.

• Shadow Bolt
• Magic's Bane
• Corrupt Soul — Corrupted Soul Fragment
• Consume Soul
• Teleport
• Soulstorm — Soulstorm
• Fear

Whenever Bronjahm targets a player with Corrupt Soul, they should run as far away from the boss as possible. After a short cast, a Corrupted Soul Fragment will spawn on top of that player and quickly head toward Bronjahm. If it reaches him, he will heal for a large amount. Quickly kill the Soul Fragment to prevent the healing.

At 35% health, Bronjahm will cast Teleport, going to the center of the room. Then he will cast Soulstorm, covering the entire room in a large tornado. Standing on top of Bronjahm prevents players from taking damage as he is the eye of the storm. Occasionally Bronjahm will cast Fear on a random player, causing them to run into the storm. Healers should be ready to quickly heal this player till they can get back on top of Bronjahm.

• Phantom Blast
• Well of Souls — Well of Souls
• Mirrored Soul
• Unleashed Souls
• Wailing Souls

It is important to interrupt the Phantom Blast as often as possible as it is constantly cast multiple times in quick succession. Whenever Devourer of Souls uses Well of Souls, it will jump to a random player and leave a Well of Souls on the floor, dealing high damage to anyone inside.

Devourer of Souls will also periodically cast one of three different abilities that drastically alter the fight. If Mirrored Soul is cast, any damage the boss takes will be reflected to the afflicted player. You must stop attacking the boss while this spell is out or you will most likely kill a player in your party.

If Unleashed Souls is cast, a large number of Unleashed Souls will be summoned. These will attack random targets and can only be healed through. If the damage from these adds is too high, try to kite them around until they despawn. Finally, if Wailing Souls is cast, the boss will blast a huge beam of damage to any enemies in front of them, dealing high Shadow damage and knocking them back. Stay behind the boss until this beam finishes casting.
