Season 14 has introduced Ruptures, an outdoor activity commonly found in Helltides. Opening a Rupture will spawn several Rifts, which summon enemies when standing in them. The objective here is to close as many Rifts as possible before the Rupture ends.
Selecting the right War Plans and combining Helltide and Rupture farming can be insanely rewarding by providing:
- Gear, including Mythic Uniques
- Materials
- Keys
- Seasonal Reputation and Caches
- Pandemonium Fragments
- The best XP farm in the game
Let’s take a look at how we can achieve this.
War Plans
Tree of Whispers
First, we take the Corrupted Roots node. This gives a consumable called Corrupted Roots, which will attract nearby enemies when planted.
Next, we take the Roots of Power and Headrotten Feast nodes, which increase the rewards from these enemies, particularly in Helltides.
Helltide
First, we take the Hellmouth, Writhe and Rot, and Bursting Brood nodes. When reaching Threat Level 2 in a Helltide, Hellwyrms will start spawning, which will spew out maggots that provide massive XP and Boss Trophies when killed.
Next, we take the Tainted Shrines, Hated Foe, and Meat Brothers nodes. These allow us to progress our Threat level faster, while also increasing rewards and causing two Butchers to be summoned when reaching max Threat.
The Butchers will also drop Profaned Mindcages, which make enemies more rewarding while also increasing their rewards.
How it all comes together
After acquiring the necessary War Plan nodes, we can massively increase the rewards we get from Ruptures.
The plan here is to find 2 or more Ruptures within a Helltide that are close to each other and activate them both, so that they overlap. Then we use Corrupted Roots to summon even more enemies to the area, and Profaned Mindcages to increase the rewards. This will, in turn, cause our Threat meter bar to fill up and start summoning Hellwyrms, Maggots, and Butchers, which will further enhance the rewards.
