Hell is going portable. Blizzard has officially announced Diablo IV for Switch 2 at BlizzCon 2026, and the wait is short. Launching on September 15th for $69.99, the release, dubbed the Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection, brings the full Sanctuary experience to Nintendo’s console just days after the announcement.
If this sounds familiar, that is because we covered leaks back in August, when a Taiwanese rating filing pointed to a September 15 release date landing right after BlizzCon. Blizzard has now made it official, and the leaks were spot on.
What’s in the Collection
This is not a stripped-down port. The Age of Hatred Collection bundles the base game alongside both major expansions, Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred. You are getting everything: the full campaign, both expansion storylines, and all the endgame content that has been layered on since launch.
The base game covers the battle between the High Heavens and Burning Hells as hatred devours Sanctuary, with a new wave of cultists rising to embrace Lilith’s coming. From there, the expansions push you through the jungles of Nahantu and the far-reaching shores of Skovos to challenge the Lord of Hatred’s hold over Sanctuary.
Switch 2 Exclusive and Code-in-Box
A couple of important notes for anyone planning to grab a physical copy:
- This is a Switch 2 exclusive. There are no plans to bring Diablo IV to the original Switch.
- The physical edition is code-in-box. Copies are already appearing in-store in North America, and the box contains a download code rather than a game card.
Pricing
At $69.99 / £62.99, the collection matches the price of other full-price Switch 2 releases like Cyberpunk 2077. However, this purchase includes the base game and both expansions. No additional purchases are required to experience everything Diablo IV has to offer.
What Now?
More than three years after Diablo IV launched on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, Switch 2 owners can finally take the fight against Hell on the go. With both expansions bundled in from day one, the Age of Hatred Collection is a strong way to jump in. Just remember, the box on the shelf is holding a download code instead of a cartridge. Diablo IV hits Nintendo Switch 2 on September 15.
