Diablo 4‘s first Season 10 patch notes are here! After all the new seasonal content, we noticed some big changes made to loot. Every treasure hunter will most likely be happy about those changes! If you have been grinding in Torment difficulty or Infernal Hordes, this update might just make your farming runs a lot more rewarding.
More Uniques, Better Torment Rewards
The chance for Unique items to drop has been increased across all difficulty levels. This is making them a bit easier to find. Torment difficulty in particular got a major reward update:
- Whispers no longer drop Magic and Rare items in Torment difficulty.
- Side quest rewards that used to give Magic or Rare gear now give Legendary items (or better) in Torment difficulty.
- Helltide events now offer improved rewards in Torment difficulties.
Nightmare Dungeon Loot Changes
The Horadric Reserve affixes involving gem fragments will appear less often. On top of that, the Horadric Strongroom chest now drops fewer items overall. Sadly, for Nightmare Dungeons the loot was not really improved.
Infernal Hordes Adjustments
Diminishing returns on Materials and Gold Chests are gone, so you will get more consistent rewards. The Greater Chest of Materials now costs 400 Aether instead of 200 but comes with bonus Obducite and Gold on top of gear. Unique items and Legendary Aspects that used to be exclusive to Infernal Hordes have been moved into the general loot pool. This means that the Uniques are now available from Lair Bosses.
Lair Boss Loot Overhaul
Greater Lair Boss loot pools are now split between the three bosses. Each can drop two of them. Duriel, Andariel, and the Harbinger of Hatred now share some loot pool, and Lesser Bosses have had slight adjustments too. One notable change is Belial’s Hoard that will no longer drop an Infernal Compass.
With these modifications, Diablo 4’s endgame farming should feel a lot more rewarding for those chasing that perfect piece of gear!
