Genshin Impact is currently on maintenance, and they have just released the Update Details for Version 5.7. This update covers information on any player compensations, new character releases, limited-time events, new quests, bug fixes, and much more. Feel free to read the summary below!
How Long is Genshin Impact Maintenance?
Genshin Impact’s Version 5.7 maintenance begins on June 18th at 06:00 (UTC+8) and is estimated to take 5 hours.
Player Compensation (Free Primogems!)
While Genshin Impact servers are down for maintenance, players will receive:
- 300 Primogems (60 Primogems per hour the servers are down)
- 300 Primogems (Issue Fixes)
For a total of 600 Primogems. Any players who have reached Adventure Rank 5 or above by June 18th at 06:00 (UTC+8) can claim the compensation via the in-game mail. The mail will expire after 30 days, and must be claimed before June 21st at 06:00 (UTC+8).
New and Returning Characters in Version 5.7
The new 5-Star Character Skirk is a Cryo Sword user. She is a flexible DPS who performs well both on-field and in quick-swap rotations. Check out our guide on how to play Skirk and how to build her!
Another new character is Dahlia, a 4-Star Hydro Shielder who provides ATK and SPD buffs. He seems pretty good for Skirk, but perhaps you can use him in your other teams!
In addition, Shenhe, Mavuika, and Emilie will also be making a return in the Version Update. If you haven’t gotten them yet, this is the time! Feel free to check out our guides on them too.
New Equipment
The Azurelight is a new limited-time 5-Star Sword you can obtain from the Weapon Event Wish. Be sure to pick it up before it goes away!
New Main Story and Quests
Version 5.7 also includes the next Archon Quest in Chapter V: Act VI, known as “A Space and Time for You”. You will need to be Adventure Rank 28 or above, and also completed the previous Archon Quests. But if you are really excited, maybe the “Focused Experience Mode” will be useful!
Skirk’s Story Quest “Crystallina Chapter: Act I – Whispers Betwixt Stars and Night” is also permanently available after the Version Update. You will need to be Adventure Rank 40 or above, and have completed Archon Quest Chapter IV: Act V “Masquerade of the Guilty”. The “Focused Experience Mode” is also available.
Note: If you are playing on mobile, players will need to select their preferred resource update option: Full Resources or Basic Resources. This game is getting too big for my phone, but I can’t stop playing!

Other Content Updates
Players get to enjoy the new additions and updates for the following game content:
- Genius Invokation TCG has some new Character and Action Cards, and The Forge Realm’s Temper is once again available.
- Imaginarium Theater‘s first season will be available on July 1st, 2025. There are also new challenge stages and Echo cosmetics for Raiden Shogun and Shenhe!
- Spiral Abyss Phase 1 updates on July 16th, and will favour Cryo, Pyro, and Nightsoul-aligned Characters. Good luck!
- New Character Specialty Dishes and Collaboration Recipes are also available. The recipes can be claimed through the in-game mail. Yum!
