Patch 7.1 Overview for Genshin Impact

Patch 7.1 of Genshin Impact, A Rekviem for the Underworld features the release of 2 new 5-Star characters. The 2 new additions include Vesna alongside her signature sword Beyond the Chrysalis and Vodyanitsa with her signature Catalyst Hymn of the Maelstrom. This update also releases a range of new 4-star weapons through the new weapon event.

7.1 also features the return of 5-star Skirk and Escoffier during the Phase II Banners.

Outlined below are the banners available in version 7.1. Phase 1 releases new 5-Star characters Vesna and Vodyanitsa.

Genshin Impact 7.1 launches a new event where after completing the 7.1 Archon Quest you can invite one of the offered 5-star characters to join your team as well as their ascension materials to level 60. See below the characters that will be available to obtain.

Login to the game after the 7.1 update has been released and you will be able to obtain one of the characters listed below as well as the materials needed to ascend them to level 60:

7.1 will feature a range of new event weapons in addition to the new character signature weapons. See below for a brief overview of the weapons available for 7.1.

Genshin Impact version 7.1 features 2 new Archon Quest "White Night, Like a Dream Upon Waking" and "A Rekviem for the Underworld". Two new world quests will also be available.

The new world quests are - "Upstream Variations" and "Swords and Secrets".

7.1 will not feature any new areas due to the release of Snezhnaya in 7.0 and the focus around the new Archon Quests as the Snezhnaya story continues. Alongside the story continuance Genshin Impact are celebrating their 6th anniversary which means there will be a range of new events and rewards available during this version update.

Coming in the 7.1 update will be a range of new Elite and Legendary cosmetic sets with the main Event Ode - Moonlight After the Rain featuring 2 5-star sets. Overall there will be 2 available Legendary sets, 2 Exceptional sets and 7 Elite sets.

Patch 7.1 releases with a range of new events for players to participate in allowing you to obtain a handful of Primogems. With the flagship event, Silverwing in Pursuit of the Moon, for 7.1 providing players with a Crown of Insight and the 4-star weapon Silver Light.

7.1 will not introduces any new artifacts as the previous update 7.0 had just released new sets. We could expect to see new sets arriving in 7.3 onwards but there is no official confirmation of this yet.
