Best Artifacts for Mavuika

Mavuika has two main build options depending on how you want to use her: a Main DPS build focused on maximizing her on-field Burst damage, and a Support/Sub-DPS build focused on buffing the active character and providing off-field Pyro application.

Obsidian Codex

Obsidian Codex

2-Piece Set: While the equipping character is in Nightsoul's Blessing and is on the field, their DMG dealt is increased by 15%.

4-Piece Set: After the equipping character consumes 1 Nightsoul point while on the field, CRIT Rate increases by 40% for 6s. This effect can trigger once every second.

Obsidian Codex is Mavuika’s best-in-slot Artifact set when played as a Main DPS. It provides an enormous 40% CRIT Rate value through its set effect, making it one of the strongest DPS-focused sets in the game, and no other option comes close in overall damage consistency and output.
Marechaussee Hunter

Marechaussee Hunter

2-Piece Set: Normal and Charged Attack DMG +15%

4-Piece Set: When current HP increases or decreases, CRIT Rate will be increased by 12% for 5s. Max 3 stacks.

Marechaussee Hunter is Mavuika’s second-best Artifact option and provides up to 36% CRIT Rate. However, it comes with a major restriction: you are effectively forced to play Furina (or have very consistent HP fluctuation) to reliably activate and maintain the set bonus.
Crimson Witch of Flames

Crimson Witch of Flames

2-Piece Set: Pyro DMG Bonus +15%

4-Piece Set: Increases Overloaded, Burning, and Burgeon DMG by 40%. Increases Vaporize and Melt DMG by 15%. Using Elemental Skill increases the 2-Piece Set Bonus by 50% of its starting value for 10s. Max 3 stacks.

Crimson Witch of Flames is a decent alternative if you do not have access to Obsidian Codex, and it works well in reaction-focused teams. That said, it is still nowhere near the overall value Obsidian provides for Mavuika’s DPS ceiling.
Gilded Dreams

Gilded Dreams

2-Piece Set: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80.

4-Piece Set: Within 8s of triggering an Elemental Reaction, the character equipping this will obtain buffs based on the Elemental Type of the other party members. ATK is increased by 14% for each party member whose Elemental Type is the same as the equipping character, and Elemental Mastery is increased by 50 for every party member with a different Elemental Type. Each of the aforementioned buffs will count up to 3 characters. This effect can be triggered once every 8s. The character who equips this can still trigger its effects when not on the field.

Gilded Dreams can be a viable choice in Melt and Vape team compositions where Mavuika is heavily reaction-driven. It is not her general best set, but it can perform well depending on how your team is built and the buffs you are stacking.
Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City

Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City

2-Piece Set: When a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, the equipping character regenerates 6 Elemental Energy.

4-Piece Set: After the equipping character triggers a reaction related to their Elemental Type, all nearby party members gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the elemental reaction for 15s. If the equipping character is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state when triggering this effect, all nearby party members gain an additional 28% Elemental DMG Bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the elemental reaction for 20s. The equipping character can trigger this effect while off-field, and the DMG bonus from Artifact Sets with the same name do not stack.

Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City is Mavuika’s best-in-slot support set. It provides up to 40% damage bonus to the active DPS after triggering reactions, making it a must-build option when you plan to play Mavuika as a sub-DPS or off-field buffer.

Mavuika's Stat Priority

Sands of Eon: EM > ATK %
Goblet of Eonothem: Pyro DMG > ATK %
Circlet of Logos: CRIT DMG
Substats: CRIT Rate/DMG > Elemental Mastery > ATK %

Mavuika’s best stats to build around are CRIT, with Elemental Mastery and Attack. As Mavuika gets a lot of Attack from her passives and played with attack buffers like Bennett and Iansan, It is preferred to use EM sand for her specially when played in Melt and Vape teams.

Recommended Stats for Mavuika

Build recommendations assume a "decently built" level of artifact rolls alongside Mavuika's best 4-Star weapon, Serpent Spine. Using other weapons may increase or decrease certain stats relative to these recommendations.

HP: 18,000-20,000
ATK: 2000-2200
CRIT Rate: 45-55%
CRIT DMG: 230-260%
EM: 100+

Mavuika's Talent Priority

Talent Priority: Hour of Burning Skies > The Named Moment >>> Flames Weave Life

Mavuika's Burst is her Major source of damage when played as a on-field DPS and skill is also very important for off-field damage, Normal attack can be skipped as they do not have much use cases.

How to Play Mavuika

Mavuika has two main playstyles: an on-field Main DPS style where she acts as the primary damage dealer, and a support/off-field damage dealer style where she buffs the active character while providing Pyro application and extra damage.

Her Main DPS playstyle is one of the strongest archetypes in the game. Unlike most DPS units, Mavuika does not rely on Energy Recharge for her Elemental Burst. Instead, she uses Fighting Spirit. Fighting Spirit can be generated by Mavuika herself, and it is also generated efficiently when you pair her with at least one Natlan teammate who consumes Nightsoul points. Once you have at least 50% Fighting Spirit, you can unleash her Burst to deal enhanced damage and enter her high-damage window with increased ATK.

Her basic on-field rotation is to set up your supports while generating Fighting Spirit, then use Mavuika’s Burst, followed by her Skill, and deal damage during the next ~7 seconds. During this window, you can use multiple combos depending on comfort and investment. A common baseline combo is using her Charged Attack spin, while more advanced options include techniques like dash-canceling Charged Attacks to increase damage and speed up inputs.

Her second playstyle is her support mode. In this setup, you mainly use her Burst and then swap into your main DPS. With full Fighting Spirit, Mavuika can provide up to a 40% damage bonus to the active character. At the same time, she continues to contribute off-field Pyro application and damage, making her a strong option for reaction teams and Natlan DPS teams that help charge her Burst quickly.
