NTE Hotori

Neverness to Everness is preparing for its second limited banner since launch, and this time, the new S-Rank is Hotori, a Cosmos Solid character with a kit revolving around time manipulation, replay mechanics, and pretty cool gameplay. Hotori is also the owner of the Eibon Antique Shop that we are part of!

The new “Misty Tipsy Style” Limited Board officially arrives on May 13 after maintenance and will run until June 3rd, 2026.

Hotori’s Banner Comes With Cosmetics, Vehicles, and More

Just like the previous limited board in NTE, Hotori’s banner also includes a few cosmetic rewards that are linked to pull milestones. You will be able to obtain:

  • The “Orchid Breeze” glider
  • The “Autumn Haze” Blizzard-V4 bike skin
  • Hotori’s exclusive outfit “Priceless Orchid”
  • The “Golden Breeze” LaVelox livery

Of course, the banner also has boosted rates for 3 different A-Rank characters:

As usual, the pity system guarantees the featured S-Rank within 90 pulls maximum since there is no risk of losing on a 50/50 in this game.

A Kit That Revolves Around Recording and Replaying

Mechanically, Hotori is very different from the characters we have had so far. Her entire kit revolves around a special resource called the Non-Closed Timepiece that slowly charges over time and allows her to trigger powerful time-stop abilities.

The most unique part of her kit is Present Replay, a skill that records ally Support Skills and Redirect Skills for a few seconds before replaying them during her Ultimate. Once that Ultimate, World’s Tide, activates, Hotori freezes surrounding time, enters a special katana stance, and replays previously recorded attacks while building combo stacks for a powerful finisher.

In practice, I would say that she looks like a tempo-based character that rewards carefully planned rotations.

Hotori May Become One of the Most Flexible Cosmos Characters

Based on the current information and all the previews we got around her gameplay and combat, Hotori seems pretty flexible, and it looks like she could fit in various teams.

Because she is a Cosmos character, she also synergizes well with many of the strongest launch teams, especially with Esper Zero, Nanally, and Jiuyuan with the Blossom reaction.

Her replay mechanic also means her value could increase over time as even more characters are released in future patches, and on the CN servers right now, she is considered the most powerful S-rank, so the chances she becomes pretty much future-proof are high.

Is Hotori Worth Pulling?

Right now, Hotori definitely looks like a must-pull. There are a few reasons she stands out already:

  • Extremely unique mechanics
  • Built-in time stop utility
  • Replay system that will most likely work with future characters as well
  • Fits multiple existing meta teams

However, there are also a few downsides you should keep in mind. Her kit might not be that easy to play compared to simpler characters. Managing recordings, timing, rotations, and Timepiece energy means that she will perform much better in experienced hands than if you just play her casually and push buttons randomly.

If you like gameplay that is more straightforward, you will probably not enjoy playing her.

For free-to-play players especially, it also comes down to the amount of Dice you have left, and if you want to save up for future characters or not. Even if Hotori looks like she is more or less future-proof for now, it is never guaranteed either, depending on what the next characters will do.

At the very least, Hotori is definitely unique and has a really original gameplay, so if you are looking for something a little bit different, you will like her for sure!
