Marvel Rivals has finally dropped the patch notes for Season 8.5, along with the trailer for Cyclops. There isn’t a huge list of changes this time around, as is usually the case with mid-season changes. Still, here is what’s coming on June 12th!
Marvel Rivals Season 8.5 Balance Changes
This time around, some of the biggest changes are coming to Cloak & Dagger, Ultron, Gambit, Devil Dinosaur, Daredevil, Black Cat, and Moon Knight.
Duelist
There are a lot of DPS nerfs coming in Marvel Rivals Season 8.5. The biggest out of the bunch are going to be for Black Cat, increasing a lot of her Fortune costs, removing a charge from her dash, and nerfing her ultimate. Daredevil is also getting dash nerfs, and Moon Knight is getting an overall damage nerf in the wake of Cyclops coming to the roster.
Strategist
For supports, Ultron is getting some surprising nerfs, Gambit’s ultimate is finally being nerfed again, and Cloak and Dagger are getting some slight AOE healing buffs.
Vanguard
As for tanks, Devil Dinosaur is getting the knock-down effect taken off of Impact Beam, drastically buffing every flyer. Otherwise, Magneto gets a slight ult buff, and Angela can dash sooner now.
Team-Up Changes
Lastly, for Team-Ups. Explosive Entanglement is also getting a nerf along with Gambit, and a new Team-Up is coming with Cyclops. This new pairing has Cyclops as the anchor, and Wolverine is leaving Phoenix’s Team-Up.
