Classic+ Fans, This ‘Camelot’ Datamine Is the Lead You’ve Waited For

The rumor mill is spinning, and we might have news about the future of Classic sooner than expected.

New information about something called ‘Camelot’ has been showing up, with more information appearing likely to connect it to Classic. This information comes from dataminer Stiven on Twitter:

These findings seem to link this ‘World of Warcraft Camelot’ information to the 1.60 patch, currently available only to Blizzard devs over the classic_alpha branch.

Shop Bundles for Classic

Based on the information Stiven provided, it likely means we will have Heroic and Epic bundles to celebrate the launch of this new branch. These bundles could mean new cosmetics for Midnight and/or Mists of Pandaria Classic.

The Wait for Classic+

The community has been eagerly awaiting for Classic+ for years now, but it now seems something concrete. With many creators recently visiting Blizzard for ‘something’ a few weeks ago and the Classic Titan Reforged servers in China, the bar is really high for this project.

We also had teases from Blizzard themselves. The first was with Josh “Aggrend” Greenfield talking about being “really excited for [us] to see what other awesome stuff the [classic] team is working on in due time” on Twitter earlier this year.

Then it was WoW Vice President Holly Longdale during the State of WoW stream: “I can say with confidence that all Classic WoW players have a lot to look forward to. I’m excited to announce that- I guess that we’ll save that for later.”
