WoW Forever’s launch is fast approaching, and players have been busy securing their favourite character names ahead of time. Some are hoping to bring back familiar names from their time in World of Warcraft, and others have been using the early reservation period to show off their creativity. The community so far has already come up with some very entertaining choices, and while it isn’t possible to include every funny name players have made, here are some honourable mentions.
Where’s The Lamb Sauce?
First up, we have Guldan Ramsay, a name that combines one of Warcraft’s most infamous Warlocks with the fiery personality of a certain celebrity chef. I can imagine Guldan being a Gordon fan in another timeline.
Get Rick-Rolled
One player had their sights set on Nevergonna Giveyouup, and judging by their determination, this reservation is clearly a matter of personal importance. Another commenter advised them to make an entire family compromising of “Nevergonna Letyoudown”, “Nevergonna runaround” and “Nevergonna makeucry”.
A Classic
Meanwhile, the race for Zug Zug was fierce. A simple yet iconic choice for any aspiring Orc, this name has caught the attention of multiple players. With the reservation period nearly complete, there’s only one question left… who came out on top?
The Main Character
Another contender worth mentioning is John Tank. I’m not sure there’s a better name for someone planning to spend their days taking hits for the rest of their party.
Is it Breakfast Time?
Over on X, one player has taken a personal interest in the reservation of Buttered Toast. Apparently, whoever managed to claim the name has made themselves a new rival, with the original poster joking that they’ve got beef with the mystery player. Some names are worth fighting for, and this was one of them (I would have fought for it too…).
I Want A Tauren In Finance
Finally, we have a player looking beyond the usual fantasy-inspired names and straight into the world of finance. It’s not quite the fantasy adventure most people had in mind, but at least the economy is in good hands… hopefully.
