This week’s Midnight beta build suggests Player Housing interior decor and room placement budgets are going up. New rewards at Renown 7 and 9 buff the interior and room placement budget by over 25%.
MMO-Champion‘s post for the latest Beta build highlights the changes. You’ll find these changes in Housing Progression, the Renown-style track tied to your Housing level.
How Player Housing Levels Work
Player housing uses a Renown-style leveling track similar to the current Renown tracks we already have. Leveling up your housing grants you rewards and increases your interior and room budgets, making each level a meaningful milestone.
In Patch 11.2.7, you can currently reach Housing Level 5. When Midnight launches, the track expands to Level 10, fully unlocking the feature. You can check out our Housing Experience Guide for more information.

The new reward added at Renown level 7 and Renown level 9 each add 500 points to your interior budget and 10 points to your room placement budget. These rewards equal a budget of an extra 1000 points for your interior, a 30% buff, and an additional 20 points for your room placement budget, a 25% buff. You’ll have the luxury to create the home of your dreams!
We previously covered the addition of the Medium exterior option unlocked at renown 8, which allows you to change your exterior size options between Small, Medium, and Large.
Will We See An Increase in the Exterior Budget in the Same Way?
Each level also specifies that your exterior decor budget is set to 250, reflecting the increased cap you get by reaching Renown 3. We don’t know exact values; however, Blizzard hopes to raise the exterior budget. This could mean that by the time Midnight launches, we might have those changes. Will those changes also come at the same levels? We’ll have to wait and see.
