World of Warcraft has many ways in which players can make gold. From mind-numbing grinds, to temporarily hot items selling on the Auction House, there is always a meta when it comes to gold making. But what if you’re just looking for the most reliable gold-farming methods?
Thankfully, ElonCS has shared his insight into the three best ways to make a steady income in WoW.
Cloth Farming
Reliable gold-farm number one is group farming cloth in Harandar. In ElonCS’s video he shows his recommended routes and Tailoring spec set-up to get the most out of this farm. At the time of this article, this gold-making method should make around 30k gold/hour. Of course, the better gear you have, the faster you will kill mobs, and the more gold you will make using this method.
Skinning Farming
Skinning in Bastion of Might in Voidstorm is currently a very reliable way to make gold. ElonCS recommends using 
Darkmoon Firewater, 
Refulgent Razorstone, 
Haranir Phial of Finesse, and 
Argentleaf Tea to increase gold per hour. For his recommended Skinning spec, check out his video. But in short, this farm is: find a group, kill mobs, make gold.
Dual Gathering
For Mining and Herbalism, you will have the biggest success focusing on Zul’Aman. ElonCS uses the Refulgent Razorstone on both Mining and Herbalism tools, Argentleaf Tea, Darkmoon Firewater, and again, the Haranir Phial of Finesse.
When gathering Herbs and Ores, make sure to also open any chests nearby, as selling BoE gear on the Auction House will also increase your gold/hour.
For these methods, it is also recommended to use the addons FarmHud and Routes.
